The latest trailer for The Peanuts Movie reunites Charlie Brown and Snoopy for their most daring mission yet.
“Charlie Brown, the world’s most beloved underdog, embarks upon an epic and heroic quest, while his best pal, the lovable beagle Snoopy, takes to the skies to pursue his arch-nemesis, the Red Baron,” according to the film’s official synopsis.
Fans of the classic comic strip have plenty to be excited about with this one: The Peanuts Movie marks the first theatrical outing for the original gang in 35 years.
The script was written in 2006 by Charles M. Schulz’s grandsons, Bryan and Craig Schulz. The film will be released exactly 50 years after the first-ever animated Peanuts movie, “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” first hit television screens.
The Peanuts Movie also marks the first time that a Charlie Brown film has been done completely in 3D animation. And from the looks of the trailer above, it looks like Blue Sky Studios (Ice Age, Epic) did a great job capturing the visual style of the comics and updating it for a new generation.
Steve Martino (Ice Age, Horton Hears a Who!) directs off the script from Schulz’s grandchildren.
The Peanuts Movie hits theaters November 6. Check out the trailer above.
