The Los Angeles Police Department has launched an investigation after a company placed an advertisement on Instagram looking to solicit models into a prostitution ring.

Using the likeness of hip hop model Amber Rose, the advert requests aspiring models “for a paid celebrity photoshoot and clothing line,” per TMZ, and the girls are told Amber would take part in the hiring process.

The company allegedly pulled an outdated video from Rose’s Ustream, found below, orchestrating FaceTime sessions to make it appear the applicants were speaking directly to her.

The Daily Mail reports the call is cut short after Rose appears to struggle with a bad connection, and the girls are advised to go on arranged dates “with a rich guy,” but only if they are prepared to be intimate.

The models are told they can book bigger projects and possibly get more contact with Rose if they follow the instructions.

Law enforcement officers are investigating after one of the alleged Instagram victims filed a police report on Monday, claiming the company tried to lure her into the sex industry.

Rose has responded to one of the models targeted during the scam, saying:

I’m so sorry this happened to u sweetheart… ur beautiful and always know that u never have to pay money or subject yourself to anything demeaning to be a model.

Keep being positive and soon the right ppl will see ur light.
