Italian cheese makers are weighing whether or not to take legal action against pornographic video sharing website Pornhub, for comparing its premium video services to their cherished brand of cheese.
A new ad promoting Pornhub’s $9.99 a month subscription service debuted online last week, which shows a couple at a supermarket, trying to decide on which cheese to bring home.
“Why don’t we get this aged Parmigiano-Reggiano,” a man says to his female partner in the ad.
“When did you become such a foodie,” she asks.
The man replies, “They say it’s the Pornhub Premium of cheeses.”
Bow chicka wow wow, it suddenly becomes clear to the woman; the cheese must have the goods.

While the Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese Consortium agrees, their cheese is certainly premium; they were none too pleased about the ad, according to Guardian, and are accusing the Canadian-based porn company of using the cheese in a “vulgar” manner.
Per Guardian, in a statement released on Wednesday, the consortium branded the ad “not only distasteful and unacceptable, but offensive for our producers and their work.”
The Pornhub ad is “vulgarly aimed at making a profit from the exploitation of the fame gained by Parmigiano-Reggiano,” the statement adds.
The consortium’s attorneys are now weighing legal action against the site for tarnishing the name of their historic and treasured cheese, and have demanded the video be taken down.
“In the advert they’ve used the term Parmigiano-Reggiano, not the term parmesan which can be used generically in the US,” spokesman Igino Morini told Guardian.
Pornhub claims an average of 35 million hits a day and a billion hits a month.
