Jackass co-star and stunt man Stephen Glover, known as “Steve-O,” was arrested Sunday evening in Hollywood, CA for lighting fireworks after he climbed to the top of a 100 foot crane in protest of Sea World.
Wearing a “Blackfish” T-shirt, the now-41-year-old posted an image of an inflatable Orca whale and told followers on his Facebook page on Saturday, “This is Shammy. We’re going to do a big dangerous stunt in Los Angeles tomorrow that will probably get me in a lot of trouble, and you can watch it happen via a live stream, right here on Facebook, starting at exactly 7pm PST. See you then… #yeahdude”
The star then shared a series of photos and videos Sunday, updating followers on the secret stunt.
“Anyone wanna bail me out of jail?” Glover wrote as he climbed.

According to The Los Angeles Times, after scaling the crane and inflating the whale, Steve-O lit off fireworks as law enforcement and other first responders watched from a crowded street below.
More than 80 firefighters and dozens of Los Angeles police officers showed up to the scene, at the 8000 block of West Selma Avenue, after receiving calls of a possibly suicidal man.
As of Monday morning, Glover remained behind bars.
Steve-O landed in hot water in May 2014 for defacing a freeway sign in San Diego, which read Sea World Drive. Glover posted the word “sucks” over Drive, to make the sign read, “Sea World Sucks.”
The star posted later posted the stunt to YouTube and said, “I’m putting my foot down for Shamu.”
Last August, the animal activist organization PETA praised the stunt and pledged to pay fines rumored to be around $7,000.
“Blackfish” is a 2013 documentary that is critical of Sea World’s holding of and alleged mistreatment of captive orca whales. The doc premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and was later distributed by CNN.
Since the release of the film, Sea World has seen a steady decline in visitors and revenue.
