Two people were killed and five injured, three critically, after a pair of shootings outside rap concerts in Toronto and Holmdel, New Jersey late Monday night into Tuesday.

A man and a woman were killed after an early-morning shooting at an OVO Fest after-party hosted by rapper Drake at the Muzik nightclub in Toronto, reports Billboard. Three others were critically injured and transported to local hospitals.

“What occurred originally in the bar area had spilled out into the streets so south and north of this area we do have three separate crime scenes,” Toronto Police Superintendent Frank Bergen told the outlet. “At this point we do know for certain that one or two [shootings] were in the nightclub and we believe the others were outside of that area. This is all unfolding now and we’re doing our investigation.”

It was not immediately clear whether Drake was present at the club during the shooting.

The rapper was hosting the event, described as the “official OVO Fest after-party with music by Charlie B.”

Meanwhile, New Jersey state police were searching Tuesday for a suspect in the shooting of two people outside a Big Sean/J. Cole concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel.

According to the Associated Press, two people are in critical condition at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center after being shot in the parking lot outside the concert late Monday night.

One witness told the AP that he was walking with his daughter to his car when he saw the two victims talking to a woman “about her body.” He said a man then approached and fired roughly seven shots.

“He took those two dudes out right away,” the witness said. “It looked like he knew what he was doing.”

Police were reportedly using K-9 units and helicopters to search the surrounding area for the suspect on Tuesday morning.

Big Sean and J. Cole continue their joint tour Tuesday night at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Drake is scheduled to play a concert with fellow rapper Lil Wayne on Friday at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in upstate New York.
