Stan Lee surprised fans at Comic-Con in San Diego, CA Saturday, when comedian Chris Hardwick gathered stars from Fantastic Four, Wolverine, X-Men Apocalypse, and Deadpool on stage to take a group photo, and enlisted the Comic book legend as his photographer.
As a panel host for 20th Century Fox’s Comic-Con presentation, Hardwick announced he “felt there was some ore of record to break with getting a picture with the most superheroes on one stage,” according to comicbook.com.
After teasing the crowd, Hardwick introduced Lee, who said, “I want to tell you, this is ridiculous.”
“I’m gonna take the picture and get it over with. You think I can just do cameos,” the 92-year-old Spider-Man co-creator quipped. “I’m one of the great photographers.”
Gambit actor Channing Tatum then emerged with a selfie stick and an iPhone, and the group made a little superhero history.
Joining Tatum were actors Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Olivia Munn, Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell, and Ryan Reynolds, to name a few.
