When it rains, it pours.

Rapper P Diddy, whose week could have already been described as a public relations nightmare, was performing at Sunday night’s BET Awards in Los Angeles, California when he fell through a hole on stage.

Legally named Sean Combs, Diddy was on stage as part of a Bad Boy Records tribute at the Awards show, and rapped alongside label stars such as Mase, Faith Evans, and Lil’ Kim, according to TMZ, when he was dancing near an elevator lift opening, and fell in.

Combs, who founded Bad Boy, recovered with a little help from some fans, and finished the performance.

Diddy was arrested Monday June 22 in Los Angeles after he allegedly used a kettlebell to attack UCLA strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi. He was then charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of making terrorist threats, and one count of battery.

His son Justin is currently on the roster of the UCLA Bruins football team.

Former head football coach Rick Neuheisel said on his Sirius XM radio show last week Justin was not recruited by the Bruins based on his talent, and he was “doubtful” the young defensive back would have made the team, had it not been for his father.
