WATCH: Minnie Driver Botches ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ at Dodger Game

Actress Minnie Driver could not get the words just right while singing the National Anthem ahead of Friday night’s Dodger game.

Driver did the honors of performing the “Star-Spangled Banner” shortly before the hometown Dodgers faced off against the St. Louis Cardinals, but the actress ended up substituting her own words twice during the performance, even though the lyrics were prominently displayed on the giant scoreboard behind her.

To be fair, Driver hails from England, so she probably wasn’t that familiar with the lyrics. And the actress is hardly the only celebrity to botch a rendition of the National Anthem: Christina Aguilera famously flubbed the tune during her performance at the 2011 Super Bowl.
