Jurassic World’s Chris Pratt Loves to Hunt and ‘Eats What He Shoots’

Jurassic World’s “gun toting” star Chris Pratt says he loves to hunt and recently spoke about hunting “elk, caribou, deer and moose.”

Pratt’s love for hunting is so great that Rob Lowe–his former Parks and Recreation co-star–said, “Chris is the only guy in Hollywood who will unabashedly show you his hunting pictures.”

According to UK’s The Independent, Pratt said, “I have a great deal of respect for the animals that I kill.” But he said also feels “remorse and all of the emotions that come with it.”

On May 19 Elle magazine described Pratt as a “gun toting” Hollywood star, saying:

Pratt happens to know his way around a gun—he has some 40 of them in his collection, having grown up in various necks of the woods where hunting is kosher. He still eats what he shoots, from birds to big game, the latter defined as “something you’d fill your freezer with.”

In fact, Pratt owns the same gun his character Owen Grady uses in Jurassic World. It is “a 1895 Savage Arms 45-70.”
