Jenner grace’s this month’s issue of Vanity Fair magazine:

“If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life,'” Jenner told VF.

Renowned photographer Annie Liebovitz captured the first photographs of Jenner at her home in Malibu, including the magazine’s cover shot. Pulitzer Prize-winning VF contributor and Friday Night Lights author Buzz Bissinger “chronicles the tensions, traumas, and courage that shaped Jenner into the woman you see today,” according to the magazine.

Jenner detailed her transition in a two-hour tell-all 20/20 interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer last month, in which she said she had “always been confused” about her gender identity.

“I am a woman,” Jenner told Sawyer. “It’s not like I’ve been dressing up like a woman, it’s like I’ve spent my whole life dressing like a man.”

Vanity Fair‘s June issue hits newsstands June 9, but the magazine’s subscribers can get early access to the story and a behind-the-scenes look at Liebovitz’s photo shoot by heading over to the VF website.
