Report: Barry Manilow Marries Longtime Manager Garry Kief

Crooner Barry Manilow is officially off the market.

The singer reportedly married longtime manager Garry Kief in a secret ceremony at his Palm Springs, California home last year, according to People magazine.

The wedding was reportedly attended by “20 to 30” of the “Mandy” singer’s closest friends, who were told they were attending a “lunch.” A source told People that although the wedding was kept secret and no formal paperwork was signed, the couple exchanged wedding bands.

“They have a great relationship. Garry has always been there for Barry,” a source close to Manilow told the magazine. The couple “are committed to one another and have been for a very long time,” the source added.

According to the National Enquirer, which first broke the news, Manilow did not want to file official paperwork for fear that his fans would find out he was gay.

“Barry is paranoid that his fans would not approve of him being gay, when in reality, many have suspected it for years – and most wouldn’t care,” a source told the Enquirer. “They would be happy for him!”

Manilow, whose hits include “Copacabana,” “Looks Like We Made It,” and “Can’t Smile Without You,” has sold over 80 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time.
