Justin Bieber Apologizes for Past Faux Pas: ‘There Was Really No Preparing Me for This Life’

While B-list celebrities blasted pop star Justin Bieber for his errant ways at Saturday night’s Comedy Central Roast, the former teen sensation ended his evening on a note of humility.

Bieber, now 21, agreed to the much-anticipated special months ago, and was given just about all he likely bargained for, going up against Martha Stewart, Will Ferrell, Hannibal Buress, Jeffrey Ross, Snoop Dogg and others.

Biebs took jabs for his tattoos, fan base, publicized run-ins with law enforcement, and Selena Gomez, but after taking the floor to end the show, and dishing out a few disses of his own, the Canadian-born singer apologized:

There was really no preparing me for this life. I was thrown into this at 12 years old, and I didn’t really know what I was getting myself into.

There’s been moments I’m really proud of and a lot of moments I look back and I’m pretty disappointed with myself for. But the things that I’ve done really don’t define who I am. I’m a kind-hearted person who loves people and, through it all, lost some of my best qualities.

“For that, I’m sorry. But what I can say is that I’m looking forward to being someone you can look at and be proud of,” he finished.

The “Baby” singer has been under scrutiny in recent years for his notable, filmed faux pas. From urinating in mop buckets and exclaiming “F—k Bill Clinton,” to getting busted for DUI while drag racing, Bieber has become synonymous with trouble.
