NBC is lighting up with Parks and Recreation star Adam Scott.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Scott and his wife Naomi are developing a sitcom called Buds about the daily goings-on at a marijuana dispensary in Colorado for the network.
The new pot comedy will keep Scott at NBC after Parks and Recreation airs its final episode next week.
Parks producer Joe Mande will write and executive produce the new show alongside Scott and his wife. The show is set for the 2015-16 development cycle, according to Deadline.
The Scott couple’s Gettin’ Rad production shingle appears to be on a roll; in addition to the sale of Buds, which marks the company’s first sale under their first-look deal with Universal TV, the company recently sold the critically-acclaimed independent film The Overnight to Orchard Films at Sundance, and has produced four episodes of Greatest Event in Television History for Adult Swim.
Scott will next appear in Hot Tub Time Machine 2, out this weekend, and is set to play a role in the widely-anticipated Whitey Bulger biopic Black Mass later this year.
