Report: Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Doctors Say Little Can Be Done to Save Her

Those closest to Bobbi Kristina Brown are reportedly preparing for the worst.

“It’s now a matter of when the family wants to let go and accept that she’s pretty much not going to make it,” a source close to the family told Fox News on Wednesday. That person also added that doctors have “left it up to the family as to how long they want to keep her alive.”

The 21-year-old daughter of late singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown has been hospitalized since Saturday, after her live-in partner, Nick Gordon, found her unresponsive in a bathtub.

After being rushed to a hospital near her home in Roswell, Georgia, Brown was reportedly put on a ventilator and placed into a medically induced coma. She was transferred to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta on Monday, where her family has remained at her bedside.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Brown was weak and her brain function was alarmingly “low.”

Fox also reports that Bobby Brown is remaining hopeful about his daughter’s prognosis and rallying others to stay uplifted. The family is also reportedly refusing to acknowledge “a worst-case scenario.”

“Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family,” the family said in a statement on Monday. “We are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time.”

Brown’s mother, Whitney Houston, was found dead in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Feb. 2011. The details of her death bare a striking resemblance to the manner in which Brown was found.

Houston’s cause of death was later labeled an accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine use as contributing factors, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
