UPDATE: A reader points out that the AV Club went so far as to cherry-pick negative customer reviews of this guy’s restaurant to highlight and publish:
While Kyle is obviously not alive to shoot Michael Moore from a distance, Brann has come up with the equally deadly revenge of denying him “decent, better than average, but nothing to rave about” fare delivered through “terrible service” amid “dated and kinda dirty” decor, of the sort that Americans must consume daily to live.

Pardon my language but this article from the AV Club is the saddest piece of starf**king I’ve ever come across.
What are the values of a news outlet and its senior editor, Sean O’Neal, when the decision is made to side with rich, white, powerful Hollywood players like Seth Rogen and Michael Moore, over some Little Guy protesting them?
In a symbolic protest, Tommy Brann, the owner of a small chain of restaurants in Michigan, is refusing to serve the rich, white and powerful Rogen and Moore. Like any decent person of any political stripe, Brann is angry at Moore and Rogen for their trashing of American war hero Chris Kyle. and “American Sniper,” the movie based on Kyle’s selfless and honorable service to our country.
And how does the AV Club respond to this symbolic but righteous protest? By using no fewer than 7 paragraphs to relentlessly mock the Little Guy and his business.
[Restaurant owner Tommy] Brann has come up with the equally deadly revenge of denying him “decent, better than average, but nothing to rave about” fare delivered through “terrible service” amid “dated and kinda dirty” decor, of the sort that Americans must consume daily to live. Rogen and Moore are hereby condemned to slowly starve to death in the Brann’s parking lot, yearning fruitlessly for Brann’s Classic Onion Straw Loaf, the lights of the sign that illuminates their fatal mistake growing dim in their eyes.
Is anyone else old enough to remember when speaking truth to and defying power was the in-thing?
When the American Left reveals who they are really for and against, it is chilling.
Know your place and shut your mouth, little man.
In one post, The AV Club revealed itself to be nothing more than a bunch of elite snobbish frat boy starf**kers at the ready to protect the wealthy and powerful against … some guy in Michigan.
Palace Guarding: The New Edgy.
And I’m sure the article has nothing to do with wanting to suck up to Power; stay on Power’s good side; maybe get a scrap someday from Power’s table.
This post has been updated, Brann owns a small chain of restaurants.
