A convicted sex offender who is currently doing hard time is suing Taylor Swift for $100 million, alleging that the country-turned-pop star used him for song lyrics.
Jose Hilario, who was arrested in 2008 for possession of sexually explicit images of a minor, presented a handwritten lawsuit, which he wrote from prison, to make his case.
Hilario claims he had an unlikely relationship with Swift, via the Internet, after the then 18-year-old singer email him because she was “lonely and sad.”
The man claims he and Swift engaged in a two-month online relationship. After that period of time, Hilario claims Swift insisted they meet in person; something he obliged.
He allegedly met her on Apr. 13, 2008, at a shopping mall, where they shared an embrace that included a hug and kiss. Now, from prison, Hilario says he came across her new album, 1989, and believes it is clearly about his life.
“My heart hurts,” writes the man. “I have suffered so much humiliation already.” He also knows “for a fact that the defendant have [sic] a good heart and that she will come back to her senses and not forget her promise that she made.”
Hilario included a quote from from a conversation he and Swift allegedly had during their 2008 correspondence:
“When you feel like you are trapped with no way out and your memory of me fades… think of the color yellow and remember your friend who will protect you from all the unknowns of this world.”
Sure.
The convicted sex offender has stated he is asking for $100 million, plus an introduction to Miley Cyrus.
