Fitness expert and television actor Greg Plitt was struck and killed by a Metrolink train in Burbank on Saturday. He was 37 years old.
Plitt, a former Calvin Klein model, was featured on the Bravo TV show “Work Out” as well as the NBC soap “Days of our Lives.” He also appeared in a number of feature films like “Grudge Match” and “Terminator Salvation.” He also served as a U.S. Army Ranger.
The L.A. County Sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau told Variety that Plitt was struck shortly after 4:00pm on Front Street, just north of the Metrolink station.
A witness told local TV station KABC that Plitt may have been filming something at the time he was struck.
“He had on all black. The train went by. I saw him stumble over the tracks,” Metrolink passenger Victor Crowell told the station. “He had a camcorder in his hand.”
The incident is still under investigation. The Burbank Police Department asks that anyone with information regarding the incident call Detective Michael Edwards at (818) 238 3264.
