If you’ve been keeping up with the NFL postseason, you’ve likely seen the United States Navy’s newest television spot, which features a group of hand-picked servicemen and women, a group that includes Breitbart News writer Kelli Serio.

The commercial, which was directed by Peter Berg, was first introduced during the annual Army vs. Navy college football game, back in December. It has since been televised daily and during all major sporting events, including games of the NFL postseason.

E-4 Petty Officer 3rd Class Serio served four years as master helmsman aboard the USS Ronald Reagan on tours that took her from the Middle East to Japan.

She remains proud of her service:

Joining the service was the best decision I’ve ever made. At 19 years old, I was piloting the most powerful warship in the world, representing the stars and stripes, all while making friends that I’ll have until the day I die.

My parents taught me the importance of freedom, so my time in the Navy is a tribute to the legacy of family and country. I love my country dearly, and although I have adjusted back to civilian life, the sacrifices I made taught me the virtues of respect, honor, and courage. For that, I will remain forever grateful.

Along with the new advertising campaign, the United States Navy also rolled out a new slogan: “To get to you, they’d have to get past us.”
