After two years of unrelenting race hoaxes from Hollywood, the media, and Democrats, America growing tired of being lied to appears to have finally caught up to producer Oprah Winfrey’s “Selma.” At the box office, “Selma” is under-performing. In the Awards Derby, “Selma” is losing ground fast.
After being snubbed by the Producers Guild last week, blanked in all major categories at the Golden Globes Sunday, the Director Guild delivered a fresh snub Tuesday.
All the hoopla surrounding the fact that “Selma” is directed by Ava DuVarney, a black woman, did not move the Directors Guild. Instead the Guild nominated Clint Eastwood, Wes Anderson, Richard Linklater, Morten Tyldum, and Alejandro Inarritu.
Oprah Winfrey’s “Selma” race-hoaxes America by dishonestly smearing President Lyndon Johnson. Just last year, Oprah race-hoaxed America with “The Butler” and her phony tale of being the victim of racism in a Swiss boutique.
Over the last two years, on a much larger scale, America’s been race-hoaxed with non-stop lies about racism being behind the shooting deaths of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown.
“Selma” hits with its own race hoax just as America is exhausted by race hoaxes. “Selma” also isn’t that great of a movie.
If Oprah wants to win a competitive Oscar, she might want to start by pouring the energy she wastes on emotional blackmail into making better movies.
