Controversial Goofball Comedy ‘The Interview’ Set for Release in Mexico and the UK

February 6 Sony Pictures plans on releasing The Interview starring Seth Rogen and James Franco in 200 movie houses in Mexico.

The controversial film’s nationwide release was cancelled on December 17 in the USA under a cloud of terrorist threats from a hacking group who call themselves the Guardians of Peace. Ultimately the film garnered a limited release and has grabbed $5 million in revenues since Christmas.

Breitbart News film critic John Nolte  described The Interview as “a spyjinks comedy about two goofballs who attempt to assassinate North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.”

The Hollywood Reporter  noted that although the release is modest by Mexican standards, the movie will enjoy an added boost when it debuts in theatres across the United Kingdom on the same day.

Ironically, the Spanish-language title is Una Loca Entrevista (A Crazy Interview) which is particularly apropos considering the zany events surrounding its American release.
