The classic tale about a little old lady who lived in a cottage and decided to bake a gingerbread man out of boredom has gone naughty.
Professional chef Sara Whittlesey now shows us how to make a new version of the holiday treat called, Leather Daddy.
With five simple steps, and replacing the currants with a jockstrap, harness, and ball gag, Whittlesey transformed the ordinary gingerbread cookies into naughty treats that may not be so family-friendly.
What you will need:
1) Gingerbread men. Either bake your own or purchase blanks at your local store. We used both.
2) Black cake frosting & a piping bag
3) Black cookie Icing
4) A variety of sugar beads for the studs, eyes, and ball gags
5) Black writing icing/decorating gel
Getting naughty in the kitchen:
Step 1:
Outline the boots, jock strap, chaps, etc… with traditional frosting.
Step 2:
Flood fill the space with cookie icing.
Step 3:
Use writing icing for harnesses, arm bands, and the like.
Step 4:
Use sugar beads for leather studs, eyes, ball gags, etc…
Step 5:
Eat it!
