Pivot TV’s Take Part Live, which is hosted by Meghan McCain, has been cancelled due to high production costs and low ratings.
The network announced on Monday that the final episode will air some time before the end of 2014.
“We thank our hosts and producers; they are incredibly talented and we’re already in discussion to work with them in different ways so they can continue to have a place on Pivot,” the network said in a statement to Capital.
Take Part Live was launched in March, 2013 to cover current news and social issues that appeal to a millennial audience.
Jacob Soboroff and Baratunde Thurston hosted the web-based talk show with McCain.
“That’s showbiz,” said John McCain on Tuesday, when asked by a reporter in the Capitol about the news, via the Washington Post.
When asked if Meghan would think of getting into politics now that her show has been cancelled, the Arizona Senator seemed optimistic about her chances of landing another position.
“I think she will stay in the business,” he said. “I’m sure she will have other offers.”
