Casual Star Wars fans and dedicated convention attendees alike were united Friday with enthusiasm after a trailer for the latest installment of the popular franchise was released.

Packed with suspenseful music, storm troopers, and new and unusual vehicles, the sneak peek leaves much to be desired.

The teaser, which offers little insight into the plot of the film itself, features the classic theme, the Millennium Falcon, and opens with the phrase, “There has been an awakening.”

The film is rumored to be set 30 years after the defeat of the Empire and the demise of Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine. If the franchise continues its legacy of magnificently devised cameos, fans are sure to see a lot of familiar faces.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is set for release in late 2015.
