When pro-Second Amendment Senatorial candidate David Perdue (R) won the Georgia primary in July, rapper Juaquin Malphurs–aka Waka Flocka–“phoned Perdue to congratulate him.”
The Georgia Tipsheet reports the rapper also tweeted congratulations to Perdue, but “scrubbed the [tweet] after fans bristled.”
So no one knew if Waka Flocka’s phone call was indicative of support for Perdue or whether it just signified recognition that the Republican candidate did a great job in winning the primary.
But the Tipsheet says these questions were answered during a Buckhead, Georgia election-watch party for Perdue on November 4. Waka Flocka showed up at that party, smiled, and posed for photos with other Perdue supporters.
The watch-party was a “political function” that one would not attend unless one was there to see Perdue–now Senator-elect Perdue–win.
