One month prior to the midterm elections, Gwyneth Paltrow will host a fundraiser for President Obama at her Los Angeles home to benefit the Democratic National Committee.
The actress, who is a longtime supporter of President Obama, held a fundraiser during his re-election campaign in 2012.
The Democratic National Committee sent official invitations to inform their attendees about the lavish dinner and reception on Oct. 9 that will reportedly cost $1,000-$32,400 per ticket.
Donors who give $15,000 will receive a photo plus dinner. The most generous party-goers will be rewarded with a co-host greeting and their name on the invitation.
“Following the reception, President Obama will take your questions at an intimate dinner,” read an email from a notable Hollywood fundraiser.
Polls show that Republicans have a decent chance at re-taking the Senate. Hollywood is apparently finding the fundraising environment extremely challenging, and they need more money.
“We need the resources to put Democrats in office to move our country forward,” an official DNC invite read. “Since we do not take money from special interest groups, corporate lobbyists, and political action committees, we must rely on dedicated Democrats like you.”
