During an appearance on the Charlie Rose Show, HBO comedian Bill Maher schooled the PBS host on the dangers of Islam and the fact that there are vast differences between Islam and Christianity. After Rose attempted to make a equivalency argument about Islam and Christianity, Maher stoped him.
“Vast numbers of Christians do not believe that if you leave the Christian religion you should be killed for it… do not treat women like second class citizens… do not believe that if you draw a picture of Jesus Christ you should get killed for it,” Maher said.

Maher went on to make his case for why moderate Muslims have what he describes as a “connecting tissue” to groups like ISIS. Mainly, it’s the Koran and a tolerance for violence and the subjugation of women and non-Muslims.
