Comic actress Rosie O’Donnell, who famously shared her 9/11 Truther arguments on The View, is coming back to that beleaguered ABC franchise.
The daytime series recently announced that regulars Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd would be departing. Now, the show wants to bring back its most inflammatory host.
O’Donnell’s far-left politics are no secret. She frequently clashed with the show’s sole conservative voice, current Fox & Friends star Elisabeth Hasselbeck, during their tenure on the show.
It’s clear the minds behind the chat fest want to bring more politics into the morning conversations. TMZ reports the show is looking to hire a new conservative personality in addition to O’Donnell. The obvious choice would be Sarah Palin, who hinted at such a gig earlier this week. That would give the program the kind of muscular conservative presence it’s never had before.
Instead, early buzz is on Abby Huntsman and Margaret Hoover, conservative women with lower profiles than the former Alaska governor.
