“X-Men” director Bryan Singer has officially filed for a dismissal of the sexual abuse suit brought by Michael Egan, the man accusing Singer and one other Hollywood player over allegations both men sexually abused and raped him as a teen.
Producer Gary Goddard, who has also been sued by Egan, filed for a dismissal last month. Egan withdrew one suit against Goddard but then filed another in late June.
Another of the accused, TV executive Garth Ancier, filed a countersuit against Egan, charging him with malicious prosecution.
This came after Egan withdrew his charges against Ancier.
Egan also withdrew his suit against former-Disney executive David Neuman.
No decisions on the requests for dismissal from the two remaining accused will be made until mid-August.
