JERUSALEM, May 28 (UPI)–Justin Timberlake took a religious detour before his Tel Aviv concert Tuesday night.
The 33-year-old singer stopped by Judaism’s holiest site, the Western Wall, soon after he landed in Israel for his performance at Hayarkon Park. Timberlake shared a snapshot of the moment on Instagram under the caption: “The Holy Land… What an experience. I will never forget this day. #Israel.”
According to Saudi-owned news agency Al Arabiya the singer’s post “irked” some Palestinian fans who claim “there was never an Israel.” However, Timberlake has not addressed any of the comments left on his picture.
The Suit & Tie crooner was in Israel to perform one show before carrying on with his worldwide The 20/20 Experience tour.
