On Tuesday, actor Alec Baldwin was arrested after bicycling the wrong way on a road and then refusing to present identification to police. “He became belligerent, yelling and screaming at the officers, ‘I don’t have ID. Just give me the f***ing summonses,” said one of the officers.
“They don’t even know who I am,” Baldwin complained at the stationhouse.
That seems to be Baldwin’s excuse for everything he does. Here are the top *** newsworthy Alec Baldwin moments:
Assaulting a Photographer. In 1995, Alec Baldwin was arrested after allegedly punching a photographer for videotaping “the homecoming of the actor’s wife, actress Kim Basinger, and their newborn daughter,” according to police. Baldwin apparently told the photographer that he was fine with him taping the actor, but didn’t want his baby on tape – a perfectly reasonable position. It became unreasonable when Baldwin allegedly punched him in the nose. This incident prompted Whoopi Goldberg to congratulate Baldwin at the Oscars. Unfortunately, that also prompted Baldwin to continue such behavior for years into the future.
“Rude, Thoughtless Little Pig.” In 2007, someone released tape to TMZ of Baldwin blasting his 11-year-old daughter as a “rude, thoughtless little pig.” He also said she needed to have her “ass straightened out.” Baldwin stated in interviews that the release of the tape made him consider suicide. His daughter would later write, “Just like almost all of you, my Dad has made some mistakes in the past. He has spoken out of place, he has let his temper get the best of him, and he has reacted toward things in ways he shouldn’t have.”
Words With Friends. Baldwin was sitting on an American Airlines flight on the runway at LAX in 2011 when he was told to put away his phone. As he was busy playing “Words With Friends,” he refused. He then became nasty and the plane was docked, at which point Baldwin was removed from the flight. He apologized to the other passengers, but not to the airline or the authorities.
Getting Violent With Another Photographer. In June 2012, photographer Marcus Santos of the New York Daily News accused Baldwin of getting violent with him. Santos said that Baldwin “comes after me, starts shoving and punching me – one time, right in the chin.” Baldwin tweeted that same day, “A ‘photographer’ almost hit me in the face with his camera this morning #allpaparazzishouldbewaterboarded.”
…And Another Photographer. Just a few days later, Baldwin allegedly got aggressive with another photographer, and shouted, “I want you to shut the f*** up…leave my neighbor alone…get outta here.” He then apparently stated, “I know you got raped by a priest or something…You little girl.”
The N-Word Incident. In February 2013, a photographer for the New York Post filed a harassment claim against Baldwin, alleging that Baldwin had accosted reporter Tara Palmeri, grabbed her arm, and stated, “I want you to choke to death.” The photographer then alleged that Baldwin called him a “coon,” a “crackhead,” and a “drug dealer.” Baldwin denied the allegations.
“Toxic Little Queen.” In June 2013, Baldwin went ballistic on a British reporter who stated that Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria, had been texting during James Gandolfini’s funeral. He tweeted, “Someone wrote that my wife was tweeting at a funeral. Hey. That’s not true. But I’m gonna tweet at your funeral.” He then continued, “I want all of my followers and beyond to straighten out this f***ing little b****, George Stark.” And then, “I’m gonna find you, George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I’m gonna f***…you…up.” He later apologized.
“Cocksucking F**.” Despite the “toxic little queen” incident, Baldwin was hired in August 2013 to host a Friday late night show on MSNBC titled Up Late with Alec Baldwin. That fell apart after five episodes after he was caught on tape railing against a paparazzi, calling him a “c***sucking f**.”
Baldwin clearly has anger issues. Which should make him a perfect candidate for higher office.
