Phelim McAleer conceded that he did not expect his crowdfunding effort for a “classic American TV crime drama” about heinous abortionist Kermit Gosnell to reach its $2.1 million goal.
As of Saturday, though, the movie has raised over $2.1 million dollars from over 24,000 contributors, proving not only the power of new media but the demand for movies and projects that the mainstream media would prefer not to tell or showcase.
Now that he has met his benchmark, McAleer is hoping to get 30,000 backers before the campaign ends in three days. He has vowed not to let his supporters down in telling a story that is full of heroes, mystery, and plenty of villains and corrupt politicians.
McAleer spoke about his project on Saturday when he appeared on Breitbart News Saturday with co-hosts Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow and Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon.
