Whoopi Goldberg Joins Denver Post as Pot Columnist

Whoopi Goldberg has won an Oscar, hosted the Academy Awards and starred in a series of popular films like Sister Act and The Color Purple.

Now, she’s splitting her time between co-hosting The View and covering the legal pot scene for The Denver Post.

Goldberg spent her first column discussing her love for the vape pen, a gadget which helps her deal with the pain associated with having glaucoma. She has issues with smoking marijuana directly, but the vape pen allows her to imbibe the drug in a slow fashion that offers comfort from her chronic headaches caused by the condition.

The high is different, too. It feels like a gentle, warm breeze at the beach. It’s like someone undoing a vise grip, very slowly. It’s not overpowering — and I’m certainly not looking for that high high. I’m looking for relief.
