Will Ferrell to Star In Yet-Another Left-wing Comedy
After spending tens of millions in corporate money on a mean-spirited, joyless and unfunny two-hour political ad that attacks the Koch brothers for, uhm, spending millions in corporate money on political ads, director Adam McKay is in talks with Will Ferrell to spend tens of millions in corporate dollars for what will almost certainly be a two-hour political ad promoting amnesty for illegals:
Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are in talks to reteam on the Sony comedy “Border Guards.”
Adam McKay is in talks to direct. Jesse Armstrong will pen the script with Ferrell, McKay and Kevin Messick producing through their Gary Sanchez Productions banner.
Pic follows two friends who decide to patrol the U.S. border to keep out illegal immigrants only to find themselves in trouble after getting stranded across the border in Mexico.
You see, Adam McKay and Will Ferrell have nothing against spending tens of millions of corporate dollars to further a political agenda. They just want it to be illegal for those they disagree with to do the same.

All I have to say is that this movie looks fantastic. Oh, and…
Marvel’s got their own universe, Spider-Man, and the X-Men franchises going… There have been a few duds, but no box office duds.
That is a nearly unprecedented run of competence in da’ biz.

This Weekend: ‘Transcendence’ vs. ‘Heaven Is For Real’
While America’s Thought Leaders falsely claim the left has won the culture war, yet another Christian film opens wide this weekend; today, actually. Written and directed by Randall Wallace (“Braveheart”), the film is based on a non-fiction book that sold an astonishing 10 million copies. The story is about a four-year old boy, the son of a Christian pastor, who claims to have visited Heaven during a near-death experience. His knowledge about people he never met convinces his parents he is telling the truth.

Maya Rudolph is a fine supporting actress in whatever she does, but SNL producer Lorne Michaels seems to think she’s the one to revive the long-dead, never-resurrected format of the primetime network variety show.
