Artie Lange Hospitalized for 'Diabetic Shock'

Funnyman Artie Lange is back in the news again for health reasons.

The former Howard Stern Show sidekick Tweeted out a picture of himself Tuesday in a hospital bed. The stand-up, who chronicled his long battle with addiction in two memoirs, said he had suffered a “diabetic shock” and was recovering in a Michigan facility.

Lange, who hosts his own radio show, was touring the country with his stand-up act when he took ill.

Lange attempted suicide in 2010 by stabbing himself repeatedly with a knife. He explored the attempt in great detail in his last book, Crash and Burn.
