House of Cards star Kate Mara toyed with David Letterman this week on the subject of her red-hot Netflix drama.
The series, which co-stars Mara as a dogged reporter, offered up a big shock in the first episode of season two which hit the streaming service Feb. 14. The actress appeared on Letterman’s Late Show Tuesday night eager to talk but wary of spoiling the show’s big surprise.
What she didn’t mention was that she has been chosen to be part of the Fantastic Four reboot.
Mara will play Sue Storm, AKA the Invisible Woman, along with a cast likely to include Miles Teller (Mr. Fantastic) Michael B. Jordan (The Human Torch) and Jamie Bell (The Thing).
The first two Fantastic Four films, directed by Ride Along’s Tim Story, failed to ignite the box office like other Marvel features. The reboot will be helmed by Josh Trank of Chronicle fame.
