Rob Lowe became the latest actor to bring President John F. Kennedy to life via the Bill O’Reilly produced telepic Killing Kennedy.
The film, which scored record ratings for National Geographic during its November 2013 premiere, is available now on Blu-ray.
The exclusive clip below finds both Lowe and key creative personnel behind the project detailing why Kennedy matters from both a political and historical perspective.
“You couldn’t make it up. It actually is the stuff of Shakespeare,” Lowe says of the late leader’s flaws and challenges.
Based on the book Killing Kennedy: The End of Camelot by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard, the film stars Lowe as the doomed president and Ginnifer Goodwin as First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.
The film scored a 59 percent rating at RottenTomatoes.com, with critics singling out both Goodwin’s performance as well as that of Michelle Trachtenberg as the wife of Lee Harvey Oswald.
