Former Trend Setter Madonna Apes Miley Cyrus's Tongue Gymnastics

Madonna once set the standard for envelope-pushing antics, from borrowing Christian imagery on stage to baring most, if not all, for our bemusement.

Now, she’s reduced to sticking her tongue out a la Miley Cyrus to curry favor with a younger audience.

The erstwhile Material Girl teamed up with Cyrus for a new, MTV Unplugged special. The duo are acting like best pals, with Madonna donning cowboy attire just like Cyrus and jutting her tongue out in true Twerk-worthy fashion.

Cyrus is the sexual It Girl of the nanosecond, but she clearly relishes the support of the old guard as she tries to sustain her current fame.
