Quentin Tarantino's Next: Western with Christoph Waltz, Bruce Dern

Deadline.com is reporting that Quentin Tarantino’s next movie, a Western with the tentative title The Hateful Eight, is being shown to Christoph Walz, the dual Oscar-winning actor of Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained, and 77-year-old Bruce Dern, whose name is being bandied about as a Best Actor nominee for Alexander Payne’s Nebraska. 

Deadline speculates that Tarantino has several more months of reworking the shooting script, whereupon Harvey Weinstein will fund the film with foreign partners. Sony co-financed Django Unchained with Weinstein, while Universal co-financed Inglourious Basterds.
