President Barack Obama said the Duck Dynasty family seems like a “pretty fun bunch” in an interview for People magazine that hits newsstands Friday.
“The Duck Dynasty family seems like a pretty fun bunch, so I can see how that would be pretty fun,” Obama said in remarks that were made before patriarch Phil Robertson got indefinitely suspended Wednesday for what were deemed to be “anti-gay” remarks.
Obama, who has been referred to as the “first gay president” by figures like Andrew Sullivan and MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts for his embrace of gay marriage, was responding to a question about whether he would rather spend a day with the Duck Dynasty family or Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.
