Lady Gaga's 'Artpop' Sales Collapse in Second Week

The minds behind the Muppets figured teaming with Lady Gaga would be a boost to their upcoming Thanksgiving special.

Instead, the show pairing the shock singer with those fuzzy friends arrives the week of Lady Gaga’s biggest career flop. Sales of her new, aggressively marketed Artpop collapsed in just its second week of release by a staggering 81 percent.

The show must go on, but when Lady Gaga and the Muppets’ Holiday Spectacular airs at 9:30 p.m. EST Nov. 28 the producers might wish they had listed the singer second in the title.
