Jon Stewart routinely dodges his network’s rules against obscenity by letting Comedy Central censors beep every curse word out of his mouth.
Bill Cosby curbed Stewart’s potty mouth Tuesday night all by himself.
The venerable comic, known for his squeaky clean act, gently scolded the younger comic during the duo’s interview segment. Cosby and Stewart recently shared a stage for a benefit event, and Cosby cringed as he listened to Stewart curse up a storm during his act.
I’m 76 years old,” Cosby scolded. “What you have to understand, Jonathan, from whenst I cometh, when people cursed, the next thing is somebody was going to hit you. See, now there’s a whole new culture. People curse and they laugh. But for me, when you were cursing, I started crying.”
Stewart’s response?
“I wasn’t cursing. It was Yiddish.
