Paula Abdul Blasts Miley Cyrus: 'My Chihuahua Can Twerk'

Paula Abdul once famously danced with an animated cat at the height of her pop star fame. Now, she has some critical words for another pop sensation best known for gyrating her rump.

The former American Idol judge addressed Miley Cyrus’ signature dance move in a most unflattering way.

Twerking has been around for many, many years,” Abdul told the Associated Press, noting that in early rap videos there were “girls bending down and twerking all over the place. 

“I think when girls dance, they should be girls,” Abdul said. “I don’t find it the most attractive kind of dance. My Chihuahua can twerk and stick her tongue out at the same time, too.

Abdul made the comments during a trip to Israel to connect with her Jewish roots.
