Former Saturday Night Live star and lifelong Democrat Rob Schneider says he will be voting for Republican Tim Donnelly over Democrat Jerry Brown in California’s next gubernatorial election.
Schneider said, “The Democrats in my party have abandoned me, so I have abandoned them.”
Speaking to The Washington Times, Schneider made it clear that the Democrat’s poisonous and economically non-viable polices in California pushed him over the edge: “As a lifelong Democrat I am horrified by what’s happening in this state with the Democrat Supermajority now in the legislature in California.”
Schneider says he likes working in CA, but it’s getting harder and harder to do because of “the Democrats’ failed policies.” Now, he says, jobs in the movie business are being exported to other states where filming them carries less overhead, fewer taxes.
Schneider says California needs a governor who will think like the people think–who will “be a servant to the people.” He says that’s exactly what Donnelly will do, and that is one of the reasons he will be voting for Donnelly in CA’s next gubernatorial election.
