How fitting that a documentary about a sports underdog would stand tall against the biggest movies Hollywood has to offer.
Linsanity: The Movie, chronicling the improbable rise of Asian-American basketball player Jeremy Lin, scored the second-highest per-screen average at theaters last weekend–more than $11,000.
Now, the documentary is looking to expand its box office total by hitting new theaters this weekend. The movie showcases not only its subject’s talent and perseverance but his faith in God.
Linsanity is available now through VOD on Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Verizon, DirecTV, Dish, Cox Cable, Bright House and Charter.
