LOS ANGELES, Sept. 25 (UPI)–Martin Scorsese’s eagerly awaited drama “The Wolf of Wall Street” won’t be ready for its scheduled Nov. 15 release, The Hollywood Reporter said Wednesday.
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey and Jonah Hill, the film could be completed in time for a Christmas release, however.
If so, Paramount Pictures will push its other high-profile film “Jack Ryan” off the Dec. 25 date and open it on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend in mid-January, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
Scorsese is attempting to trim the running time of “Wolf,” which is now three hours. If he can’t shorten the movie to his satisfaction by Christmas so it can qualify for awards season, the film will be released some time next year, The Hollywood Reporter said.
