Jon Stewart showed why he’s the left’s crown prince of comedy on The Daily Show Tuesday night, and why anyone who considers his program a fountain of credible information is truly a jester.

Stewart ran a segment detailing the GOP’s opposition to Obamacare, or the more gently worded Affordable Care Act. How did Stewart characterize the right’s objection to the health care legislation?

By playing a tightly edited clip of Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) saying “it sucked.” But Stewart fairly offered up more of the Republican party’s critiques of the “historic” legislation. He played an “anti-Obamacare” commercial with a grinning Uncle Sam figure gawking at a patient.

That’s it. That’s how inarticulate the GOP is on Obamacare in the world of Stewart’s Daily Show.

Stewart conveniently ignored this, and this, and this, and this, and this and this–attacks on Obamacare from both the left and the right that somehow missed his writers’ collective radar.

Of course, Stewart’s Tuesday show neglected to showcase Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) heartfelt and detailed smackdown of Obamacare. It played a few tiny clips of Cruz, out of context just enough to mock. The segment ignored the heart of his critiques as well as the lousy economic headlines already swirling around Obamacare.

Stewart already has a full time gig, and that’s more than many Americans will soon be able to say thanks to the legislation he’s trying to defend.
