NBC Entertainment President Robert Greenblatt will be overseeing the upcoming miniseries on the political life of Hillary Clinton.
If Greenblatt’s name sounds familiar, then you recall another TV miniseries focusing on a past president.
Greenblatt served as director of entertainment for Showtime when CBS handed the controversial miniseries The Reagans off to the pay channel. That project, featuring James Brolin as President Ronald Reagan, created a pair of unflattering, fictitious moments in the subject’s life, and CBS decided not to air the film.
Showtime, under Greenblatt’s watch, was only too happy to play it, though.
Now, he’ll get the chance to burnish Clinton’s presidential aspirations with a miniseries set to star the gorgeous Diane Lane as the First Lady, Senator and Secretary of State.
