In every song there is an opportunity … an opportunity to entertain … an opportunity to affect … an opportunity to change a mind, a heart, or a soul. That’s a powerful tool if crafted by the right hands and placed in the right ears.
Zach Sobiech passed away May 20 only a few weeks after his 18th birthday. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma when he was 14, he turned to music to express his feelings in a way that didn’t burden others. He left behind a musical legacy and a story that has inspired millions.
His song Clouds went viral last December and resulted in a star-studded tribute video featuring Ashley Tisdale, Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz, The Lumineers, Rachel Bilson, Ed Helms, Sara Bareilles and many others. They were all inspired to participate not because Sobiech was dying but rather because of the way he was living.
A song is a powerful tool if crafted by the right hands. Sobiech had the right hands. We hope you listen.
