When Jon Stewart lays into President Barack Obama on his Comedy Central show it’s usually followed by a swift return to GOP bashing the next night.
The Daily Show host continues to hammer away at the suddenly scandal-plagued Obama administration. All the while, The Tonight Show’s Jay Leno does what he knows best–write joke, tell joke, collect check … no matter which party is currently in power.
Stewart’s latest comedy critique, dubbed “Hurricane Scandy,” found Stewart begrudgingly agreeing with conservatives regarding President Obama.
“It is a good week for conservatives, whose angry rhetoric and level of upset at the president, for once, seems somewhat appropriate,” he admits, a level of naivety that shouldn’t be found in a political humorist.
A cheerleader? Sure.
Meanwhile, Leno continues to mine humor from Obama headlines, using the available material to mock the powerful like late night comics once did with regularity–sans repercussions.
The IRS has admitted they were targeting conservative groups. President Obama called it outrageous, and said he would immediately have his Benghazi investigators look into it.
