Robin Williams: Fox News 'Land of Make Believe'

Robin Williams showed off his idea of cutting-edge comedy for the assembled scribes covering CBS’s “upfronts” presentation to showcase the network’s fall schedule.

The event let Williams, who rocketed to fame on Mork & Mindy more than 30 years ago, the chance to work the room with his manic brand of comedy. He also delivered an ill-timed jab at Fox News, the one network which didn’t discover the Obama administration has a scandal or three on its resume just a few days ago.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve been on TV, 30 years, when there were much simpler upfronts — and a mound of coke.” He noted how “in the old days there were only 3 networks, but now there are hundreds” offering an assortment of programming. “And if a little child wants to be transported to the Land Of Make-Believe, there’s Fox News.”
